Dive Panama's Pacific Golfo de Chiriquí Islands
The beautiful Chiriquí Gulf located in the western region of Panama is home to many uninhabited, pristine islands. Scattered lava and coral formations are abundant with wildlife making this area a unique and fascinating diving location.
Dive tours leave from Boca Chica outside of David, Panama to: Isla Coiba, the remote Islas Secas, a 16 island archipelago over 20 miles off-shore, Islas Ladrones, Isla Gamez, and Isla Bolaños. Come see the bounty of pelagic fish and seasonal sightings of whale shark, orca whales and many more!
Located on Panama’s Pacific Coast
Carlos Spragge from Boca Brava Divers took 15 of us out in his 50′ boat for a day of adventure at Islas Secas! I spent over 2 hours in the water and saw a stingray feeding, several giant parrot fish chomping on rocks, at least 20 varieties of fish I couldn’t identify. On our return, we trolled at 10 knots and caught 2 dorados. It was a fabulous day!
We saw tons of pelagic fish, a white-tip reef shark and a pod of humpback whales! The water was clear and the islands with virgin growth forests are really magical. Carlos is a charismatic and professional Dive Master and M/V Geisha is a great boat. We’ll be back for sure!
